Trail Area Businesses get dressed for the ocassion

Kottenay Savings imagesThe Trail Chamber of Commerce is "an organization working for the success of member businesses and that of the small business community," to quote our mission statement. And on October 31st we had some fun taking photos of all the area businesses that took the time to dress up for Halloween.

Information, education, and opportunities for networking are just some of the ways we accomplish this, and we'll continue to add photo galleries of local area businesses to help give them exposure on the Trail Chamber web site.

Halloween, traditionally a fun dress-up day for children, has become a pop culture celebration for both adults and and Trail area businesses -- and it is growing in popularity as evidenced by the number of people dressing up in area business locations this year.

Brought over to North America in the 1840s by Irish immigrants, Halloween has swelled into a multi-billion dollar event.

Part of the rise in popularity is attributed to a growing number of adults who want in on the fun too. "People are happier with the rise in the dollar, unemployment is lower, and the economy is flurishing. Why not dress up and have fun?" says Carol Ann Pedersen, Executive Director, Trail Chamber of Commerce.
