This show case of local non-profit Service Clubs and Associations that work in the Greater Trail Area was held on October 13th, 2007. Of the 28 groups invited to attend the fair 26 were in attendance. There were Adult Clubs, Youth Clubs, Societies and many Associations that offer every thing from a helping hand to training services for youth, adult and persons with disabilities.
The fair was well received by the patrons of the mall that day. Some of the comments I were from people who have lived in the community all or most of their lives to people who have only lived in the area for a short time. The main comment form the long time residents was “it’s nice to see that we still have so many groups of this kind still active in the area”. The main comments from the new residents to the area were “I didn’t realize that here were so many organizations in the area”.

Do to some technical difficulties with my camera some of the pictures did not turn out, so to the Beaver Valley Scouts, Trail Eagles, Canadian Cancer Society, Trail Crisis Line, Canadian Red Cross, Trail Hospital Auxiliary and the Trail Mental Health I do apologize.
All though I was not attending the Volunteer Fair on behalf of my job at the Chamber it was nice to see so many of the 40 plus Service Clubs, Association and Societies came out to share their information with the community. We do have a Resource Manual at the Chamber office that lists most of these groups with their contact information. We would like to put this list into the Community section of this web portal so if any of you would like or not like to be listed on the site please contact us at the office and let us know.
