Situated on the Columbia River, Gyro Park offers visitors and locals opportunities from river fishing and path walks to live music performances and fall festivals.
Follow the meandering river walk from Gyro Park in East Trail along the Columbia River to the sub-division of Sunningdale. Dip into the chilly waters at Gyro Park, or enjoy an afternnon doing some river fishing. Or simply, spend a day or a few hours relaxing, swimming, or taking a dip in the waters closet to the rocks and shore. And for those that enjoy more strenuous water activities, paddle a canoe or kayak in the waters at this family-friendly beachfront park. At the end of the day, relax and listen to the melodic tunes under the gazebo in Gyro Park, where you’ll enjoy live music Thursdays in July and August.
Park Improvements: Gyro Park is one of the central beauty areas in the Greater Trail area and over the past few years the City of Trail has put considerable funding towards making improvements to the park facilities. And the appreciation of the park is voiced not by Trail area residents but also by visitors to the city. This year more funds were expended to add more solid contrete picnic tables near the beach front at Gyro, making the park a frequent spot for picnics throughout the spring, summer and fall.
