The Trail & District Chamber of Commerce invites it's members to attend the 2008 Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, April 1, 2008, 7:00 pm at the TeckCominco Interpretative Centre located adjacent to our office, above the TD Bank.
The evening will feature guest speakers Forrest Drinnan, Chair of the New LeRoi Foundation and Sue Bock, President of Bock and Associates. Sue will be speaking on the value of the BC Chamber to local Chambers and their members. The BC Chamber exists to provide Leadership, advocacy and benefits to and for each member of the BC Chamber of Commerce (BCCC). As a member of the Board of Directors of the BCCC it's vital to her that the local chambers and their business members understand the role and powerful resource they have through the BCCC. As the broadest based business organization in the province, the BCCC represents the voice of business and it's critical that local businesses and government participate in the Chamber movement to ensure their issues and voices are heard at the provincial and federal levels.
Sue is a Certified Executive Coach from Royal Roads University and an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation. Throughout her career Sue has been active in a number of community endeavors both at the local and provincial level. As well as being Director at Large for BC Chamber of Commerce, she was also the District 8 Director for two and a half terms as well as a board member of the Trail and District Chamber of Commerce.
Sue's Chamber related activities include current Chair of the Financial Sustainability Committee and member of the AGM and Communications committee. Sue has been an active member of the board whether in a formal position or participating member of a committee and is proud to represent the voice of business from the West Kootenay region and at large.
