This past few evenings Randy McCallum ofWest Kootenay Unplugged has been busy sorting through hundreds of photos taken by Brian Findlow and choosing the best ones to develop a number of Greater Trail area screensavers. Besides offering unique screensavers for MS Windows based computer users, the Greater Trail Area Screensavers showcase the beauty of the Greater Trail area in a photoslideshow format to help promote tourism and encourage visitor travel to this area.
Randy has made the first of five Greater Trail Area screensavers available for download on the Trail Chamber web site. Volume 1 of the Greater Trail Area Screensavers can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.
"Brian takes amazing photos and I really enjoyed putting this first screensaver volume together so others can enjoy it on their computer," said Randy McCallum, West Kootenay Unplugged. "With many beautiful photos of the Greater Trail area to choose from, I have been busy making the first three Greater Trail area screensavers. When my family and friends saw the prototype slideshow screensaver displayed on my computer screen late last week, they immediately asked if they could get their own copy, so I got busy and finished the first Volume to make it avauilable to everyone who wants a unique screensaver with photos of Greater Trail as the central theme. As of April 1, 2008, anyone can now download Volume 1 of the Greater Trail Area Screensaver Collection to enjoy from the Trail Chamber website. I will make the next Volumes available over the next few weeks, so keep checking back on this site."
The first in this series of screensavers is Greater Trail Area Slideshow Screensaver Volume 1 and it is available for anyone to download free of charge. Site visitors and members can download the screensaver installer file (See download area below)
Volume 1 of the Greater Trail area slideshow screensaver consists of over 40 beautiful photos taken in the Greater Trail BC area by local area photographer extraordinaire Brian Findlow. The Greater Trail Area Slideshow Screensaver Volume 1 is available for download below (April 1, 2008) and is compatible with the following versions of Windows® operating systems: 98, 98SE, ME, NT4, 2000 and XP.
The download includes a professional and easy-to-use installation package of the Greater Trail Area ScreenSaver Volume 1 - April 2008. This slideshow screensaver is easy to install and conists of many beautiful photos that were taken and made available to the Trail & Distrcit Chamber of Commerce by Brian Findlow.
After you download the redistributable screensaver you'll be able to give it to your friends or members of your family.

To download, click the InstallTrailBC_SS_Vol_01.exe file and save the screensaver installer file to your desktop or computer. Follow the easy installer instructions to install the screensaver.
The Greater Trail Area Screensaver Installer is 9.3 MB in size and might take a while to download depending on the speed of your Internet connection but it is definitely worth downloading.
